| The corner lamp housings were painted body color silver, then clear lenses were added to clean up the rear quarter. 
Clear lenses are transparent to the silver body color paint underneath. A dremel cutting wheel was used to remove the red lens from its housing. After all the red plastic is cut out, the housings were painted body-color silver. I am looking for a pair of silver coated red bulbs... maybe LEDs? 
The objective was to render the rear corner lights invisible. I think the look is subtle, but effective; and it cleans up the surface detail without being a distraction.
